Are OXVA OX Passion Nic Salts Better Than Elfliq or Bar Juice 5000?
All three are 10ml MTL nic salts recreating disposable flavours. OX Passion’s edge is device expertise; Elfliq uses Elf Bar’s recipes; Bar Juice 5000 has huge choice. Pick by taste and price.
OX Passion, Elfliq and Bar Juice 5000 are three of the most popular nic salt ranges in the UK, all recreating disposable flavours. So is OX Passion better? This guide compares them fairly, alongside our guide on the key differences from other brands.
In short
OX Passion, Elfliq and Bar Juice 5000 are all 10ml, 50/50 nic salts in 10mg and 20mg, made for MTL pod kits and recreating disposable flavours, so none is simply better. OX Passion’s edge is device expertise from a kit maker; Elfliq uses Elf Bar’s own disposable recipes; Bar Juice 5000 has a very large flavour range. The best for you comes down to taste, range and price.
Three similar formats
On the basics, these three are remarkably alike: all are 10ml nicotine salts, blended around 50/50, available in 10mg and 20mg, and made for low wattage MTL pod kits. All three recreate the bold disposable flavours UK vapers switched from. So the question is not which format is best, but which range suits your taste, and what each does a little differently.
Three nic salt ranges compared

| All three | MTL pod kits, disposable flavours |
What sets each apart
Each has a genuine point of difference. OX Passion comes from OXVA, a pod kit maker, so it is tuned to perform in MTL devices. Elfliq is made by Elf Bar and uses the same recipes as its famous disposables, so it is the literal match for those flavours. Bar Juice 5000 is known for a huge flavour range, often with a cooling note. None is best overall, it depends on whether you value device matching, exact Elf Bar flavours, or sheer choice.

Why none is simply best
It is tempting to want a single winner, but with three ranges this similar in format, that is the wrong question. They share the same bottle size, base ratio, strengths and purpose, so the meaningful differences are about character and taste, not quality tiers. One person’s favourite is another’s second choice.
That is why we compare them on their distinct angles rather than crowning a winner, the goal is to help you find the one that suits you, not to declare one objectively better.
Shared ground
| Feature | All three |
|---|---|
| Bottle size | 10ml |
| Base ratio | Around 50/50 |
| Strengths | 10mg and 20mg |

A few more questions
Is one of these clearly the best?
No, they are very similar in format; the best for you depends on taste, the flavours you want, and current price.
Can I use all three in the same kit?
Yes, all are 10ml MTL nic salts, so they all suit the same low wattage pod kits.
Do and don’t
Do
- Compare them on taste and price
- Match the brand angle to what you value
- Use any of them in an MTL pod kit
- Try a flavour from more than one
Try not to
- Expect one to be objectively best
- Use these salts in a sub ohm kit
- Vape them if you are a non smoker
- Pay more for a flavour you dislike
A quick way to choose
If you want a simple decision rule: pick by the thing you most care about. Care about exact Elf Bar flavours? Elfliq. Care about device matching and clean flavour? OX Passion. Care about the widest choice and a cool finish? Bar Juice 5000. Then let current price and the specific flavours available break any tie.
All three are quality ranges in the same format, so you are choosing a character, not avoiding a dud. Whichever you pick, you will get a smooth, refillable, far cheaper alternative to disposables.
Pick by what you value
| You value | Choose |
|---|---|
| Exact Elf Bar flavours | Elfliq |
| Device matching | OX Passion |

The bottom line
OXVA OX Passion, Elfliq and Bar Juice 5000 are all 10ml, 50/50 nic salts in 10mg and 20mg, made for MTL pod kits and recreating the disposable flavours UK vapers switched from, so none is simply better than the others. Each has a genuine point of difference: OX Passion brings device expertise from a pod kit maker and clean, balanced flavour; Elfliq uses Elf Bar’s own disposable recipes, making it the literal match for those flavours; and Bar Juice 5000 offers a very large range, often with a slight cooling note. The best for you comes down to taste, the specific flavours you want, and current price, so compare on the day and pick the range whose flavours you enjoy most.
Why having choices is good
Rather than seeing three rivals, it helps to see three good options. The fact that all are quality 10ml MTL nic salts means UK vapers are spoilt for choice after the disposable ban, with familiar flavours, smooth hits and strong value available from several trusted ranges. You are not at risk of picking a bad one; you are simply finding your favourite.
Keeping one flavour from two different ranges on rotation is also perfectly sensible, giving you variety while you work out which you prefer over time.
Three good options
| Range | You get |
|---|---|
| OX Passion | Device tuned, clean flavour |
| Elfliq | Exact Elf Bar flavours |
| Bar Juice 5000 | Huge choice, cool finish |
| Any | Smooth 10ml MTL salt |
| All | Good value vs disposables |
A few more questions
Can I mix flavours from different brands?
You can rotate between them freely; if combining in one pod, mix like with like 50/50 salts and never exceed 20mg.
Will switching between brands harm my kit?
No, all are 10ml MTL salts suited to the same pod kits, so switching between them is fine.
A couple more questions
Which should a beginner choose?
Any of the three is beginner friendly; pick a familiar flavour style, and our team can recommend one based on the disposables you used.

A quick word on safety and the law
Vaping is intended for adult smokers and existing vapers as a less harmful alternative to cigarettes. OXVA OX Passion nic salts contain nicotine, which is addictive, so they are not suitable for non smokers, pregnant women or anyone under 18. By law you must be 18 or over to buy vaping products in the UK, and we age verify every order in line with Challenge 25. If you want to stop using nicotine altogether, your local stop smoking service offers free, tailored support.
UK public health bodies advise that vaping is substantially less harmful than smoking, but it is not risk free, and if you do not smoke the advice is not to start.
This page is general product information, not personal medical or legal advice. Specifications and flavours can vary, so always check the bottle and label.
