OXVA OX Passion vs Bar Juice 5000: Which Offers the Best Value?
Closely matched, both far cheaper than disposables. Which wins depends on current price, deals and the flavours you enjoy, so compare on the day.
OX Passion and Bar Juice 5000 are both popular, cost effective nic salts, so which offers the best value? The honest answer depends on price, deals and your taste. This guide sets out the factors, alongside our guide on which wins on flavour.
In short
On value, OX Passion and Bar Juice 5000 are closely matched: both are 10ml nic salts that far undercut disposables and often feature in multi buy deals. Which is better value depends on the current price per bottle, any bundle offers, and crucially which flavours you actually enjoy. Rather than one always winning, compare prices on the day and choose the range whose flavours you prefer.
Closely matched on value
Both ranges are designed to be affordable, refillable alternatives to disposables, and both are 10ml nic salts that work in the same MTL pod kits. So in broad terms their value is similar: far cheaper than disposables, with one bottle holding around five disposables worth of e liquid. The differences come down to current pricing and deals rather than the format.
Comparing value
| Factor | What to look at |
|---|---|
| Price per bottle | Current price of each |
| Multi buy deals | Bundles can change the maths |
| Flavour you enjoy | Value you will use |
| Range | Choice over time |
| Versus disposables | Both far cheaper |
How to decide
Because prices and promotions shift, the best value is best judged on the day rather than assumed. Compare the current price and any multi buy offers on each, then weigh in which range’s flavours you actually prefer, since a cheaper bottle you do not enjoy is no saving. For many, the deciding factor is simply taste, with price as a tie breaker. Both offer strong value against disposables.

Value is more than price
True value is not just the lowest price, it is the cost of vaping you actually enjoy. A slightly cheaper bottle in a flavour you find dull is worse value than a marginally dearer one you love and finish happily. So when comparing, factor in how much you enjoy each range’s flavours, not just the price tag.
Both ranges are affordable and far undercut disposables, so for most people the price difference is small and taste is the bigger factor in real value.
What makes real value
| Cheap but | Better value |
|---|---|
| A flavour you dislike | One you enjoy |
| Rarely vaped | Finished happily |
| Lowest price only | Price plus enjoyment |
| No deal | A good multi buy |
| Wasted | Used fully |

The disposable comparison
Whichever you choose, the bigger value story is against disposables. Both OX Passion and Bar Juice 5000 are 10ml bottles holding around five disposables worth of e liquid, for a fraction of the cost of buying five disposables, and they work in a reusable pod kit. So the OX Passion versus Bar Juice question is really about a small margin between two already economical choices.
That means you can pick on taste with a clear conscience, since both represent strong value next to the single use devices they replace.
Value, in context
| Versus disposables | Both ranges |
|---|---|
| Far cheaper | Yes |
| More e liquid per bottle | Around five disposables |
| Reusable device | Yes |
| Less waste | Yes |
| Small gap between them | Decide on taste |
The bottom line
On value, OXVA OX Passion and Bar Juice 5000 are closely matched: both are 10ml nic salts that far undercut disposables, both work in the same MTL pod kits, and both often feature in multi buy deals. Which is better value on any given day depends on the current price per bottle, any bundle offers, and, crucially, which flavours you actually enjoy, since a cheaper bottle you find dull is no real saving. Rather than one always winning, compare the current prices and deals, then choose the range whose flavours you prefer. Either way, both offer strong value against the disposables they replace, so you can decide largely on taste.
Hidden costs to consider
Value also includes a couple of easy to miss factors. Coil life can vary with sweeter or darker flavours, which affects how often you replace coils, a small ongoing cost. And buying a flavour you love means you finish the bottle rather than abandoning it half used, which is the biggest waste of all.
Across both ranges these factors are broadly similar, so they rarely tip the balance, but they are worth bearing in mind when you think about real, everyday value rather than just the shelf price.
Everyday value factors
| Factor | Effect on value |
|---|---|
| Coil life | Sweeter flavours may shorten it |
| Finishing bottles | Enjoyed flavours get used |
| Shelf price | Compare on the day |
| Deals | Bundles help |
| Disposables | Both far cheaper |
A few more questions
Does flavour affect coil life?
Sweeter or darker flavours can shorten coil life a little across any brand, a small ongoing cost to bear in mind.
Is the cheapest option always best value?
No, the best value is e liquid you enjoy and finish; a cheap flavour you abandon is wasted money.
A couple more questions

A quick word on safety and the law
Vaping is intended for adult smokers and existing vapers as a less harmful alternative to cigarettes. OXVA OX Passion nic salts contain nicotine, which is addictive, so they are not suitable for non smokers, pregnant women or anyone under 18. By law you must be 18 or over to buy vaping products in the UK, and we age verify every order in line with Challenge 25. If you want to stop using nicotine altogether, your local stop smoking service offers free, tailored support.
UK public health bodies advise that vaping is substantially less harmful than smoking, but it is not risk free, and if you do not smoke the advice is not to start.
